The minimalist project management system
After learning P3.express using the manual and the free eLearning course or attending an instructor-led workshop, you can take the exam to become a certified P3.express Practitioner. This exam is focused on your ability to manage projects rather than recalling theoretical information.
P3.express uses a cyclical system to make the activities simpler and more regular. There are monthly, weekly, and daily cycles, each of which focused on one aspect of managerial activities. Each of the 33 activities has a simple description with a clear purpose and output; those include interesting activities such as peer-reviews and various types of focused communication. In addition to the cycles, there’s a project initiation activity group run at the beginning, and a project closure group at the end. Finally, there’s a post-project management group: a cycle run after the project is finished, to evaluate the benefits.Besides the process, there are 4 documents in P3.express, containing a simple form of all information required for a minimalist, yet effective way of managing projects. One of those documents is a relatively unique concept that doesn't have an exact equivalent in other systems and supports specific activities required in modern projects.
P3.express uses a simple process. This process consists of 33 management activities in 7 groups. The P3.express is designed to comply with Nearly Universal Principles of Projects (NUPP).Version one of P3.express has seen the light June 2016, followed by two minor revisions in 2018 and 2020. The draft of the second version of P3.express was published in March 2021 to garner comments from the public, and the final version was released in May 2021.

There's one exam-based certification, P3.express Practitioner, which is focused on being able to run projects using P3.express. There's no basic level of certification because P3.express is designed to be easy to learn, and there won't be an intermediate level for learning the terminology and such without being able to use the system.Being certified means that P3.express has enough confidence that the candidate can run projects efficiently. Therefore, the exam questions target higher levels of cognition and the candidate's capability to analyze different situations and behave or make decisions in a way that helps projects. In other words, the questions are not about recalling information -- the exam is even in an open-book format.
